Every effort will be made to notify participants of such changes. Classes that have not met the minimum number of required participants may be cancelled. The Recreation Dept. reserves the right to terminate a session at less than the scheduled number of dates. RESIDENT POLICY : To qualify as a Resident, the participant in the class must maintain legal residence in the City of Rocky River or the section of Fairview Park that is considered Rocky River School District. Proof of residency may be requested at time of registration or before 1st class. LATE REGISTRATIONS: Class fees will not be pro-rated unless unusual circumstances and are subject to approval by a Supervisor. Most classes/programs have a late fee assigned after a certain date. ADULT CLASSES: Must be at least 18 years or older and out of High School for Adult Classes, unless stated otherwise; most Fitness classes permit ages 15 years and older. INSTRUCTORS are not permitted to accept registrations unless previously approved by the Office. LIABILITY : No liability is assumed by the Rocky River Recreation Department or its sponsors in the event of accident or loss of personal property. Parent or guardian’s signature required for all minors. SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS: If you require special accommodations to attend or participate in a Recreation program or activity, please contact us so that we can make reasonable arrangements. REFUND POLICY x Refunds (or Recreation credit if preferred) will be issued if an activi-ty is full or cancelled by the Department. Allow 4-6 weeks for refund checks to be sent by the City Finance Dept. x If you do request a refund, you must submit a refund request IN WRITING NO LATER THAN 5 DAYS before the first day of the program. Approved refunds will be subject to a minimum $10 ad-ministrative or a 10% fee (whichever is greater) that will be de-ducted from the original amount paid. x Recreation Dept. Credit : if you choose to have the refund posted to your Recreation account to use for future programs, a credit for the full amount will be posted IF requested no later than 5 days before program start. The credited amount may be used for most class registrations, memberships or pool passes. Late requests for credits subject to cancellation fee of $10 or 10%. x Refunds or Recreation Credits will not be given if requested less than 5 days prior to the first session. Individuals assume the risk of changes in health or personal schedules. x Exception—Preschool Classes, Learn to Swim Classes : chil-dren who refuse to participate due to immaturity, separation anxie-ty, or fear of the water may request a CREDIT to their Recreation Department customer account after the first class. The credit will be pro-rated to reflect the 1 class attended. No credit after attending the 2nd class. x Certain programs offered by Independent Contractors, Youth Hockey, Summer Day Camp have different refund policies, listed in their program description. x Memberships/Pool Passes/Expired Punch Passes are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Storybook Ball Sunday, March 26 from 2-4 pm Rocky River Memorial Hall

All young princes & princesses, ages 2-7, are invited to come and meet your favorite storybook characters. Tickets go on sale February 1st at the Civic Center. We sold out last year!

$10 per person (children and adults must each have their own ticket). All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Join us for an afternoon of music with our favorite DJ.

Punch and cookies will be served.

• Special thanks to the Rocky River Board of Education and all building staffs for their generous support of recreation programming by providing space for Recreation Dept.- sponsored programs.

• Changes in schedules cannot always be avoided since school-sponsored activities take priority over Recreation Dept. activities. In the event of changes or cancellations, every effort will be made to contact participants and reschedule programs.

• Snow days: If school is cancelled due to snow or other emergency, classes that meet in the schools will be cancelled.

Classes that meet at the Ice Rink or Civic Center will try to meet as scheduled.

Rocky River Parks & Recreation Foundation

Civic Center Adult & Open Gym

The gym is open to members and daily pass users except during scheduled classes and leagues.
