What To Bring We highly encourage you to submit all forms well before your camper’s camp session to ensure that camp staff has adequate time to review and prepare for your camper and to make check-in faster. Required Forms: Health History Form: Required for all campers attending camp. This form does not require a physical examination. (See page 15) Medical Examination Form: Campers staying three or more nights are required to have a physical examination and signed Medical Examination Form by a licensed medical professional within two years of the camp session. Campers will not be allowed to stay at camp without this form signed by a licensed medical professional. (See page 16) Excursion Liability Forms: Horseback Riding and Ropes Course Excursions require additional parent/ guardian permission. You can access the forms at www.gsmanitou.org, or sign them when you drop off your camper at camp. packing list Please have your camper participate in packing her own items so she knows what she has, where it is located and how she is going to re-pack to go home. To ensure all of her belongings make it home, make sure all items are clearly labeled with her first and last name. Items to pack in a suitcase or duffel bag: These items will be placed in a luggage trailer upon arrival at camp and will be driven by a camp staff member to the campsite: o shorts (1 for each day) o 1 to 2 pair jeans or pants o t-shirts (1 for each day) o 1 to 2 sweatshirts or fleece pullovers o 2 sets of pajamas (warm/cool nights) o underwear (1 for each day + extras) o socks (1 pair for each day) o swimsuit o beach towel o 1 extra pair of sturdy shoes that tie o rain jacket or poncho o warm sleeping bag and bed sheet o pillow o flashlight with new batteries Items to pack in a backpack/tote bag: These items will need to be with the camper at check-in, so please do not place in the luggage trailer with the luggage that will be kept in her tent cabin or tent. o beach towel o swimsuit o washcloth or shower puff o body wash or soap o shampoo and conditioner o toothbrush and toothpaste o brush/comb and hair ties o deodorant o feminine hygiene products o sunscreen and lip balm o mosquito repellent o water bottle Optional Items: o sandals (with back strap ex: Tevas or Crocs) or water shoes o fitted twin or cot sheet o camera o battery operated lantern o stationary, pen/pencil and pre-addressed stamped envelopes o MP3 player & headphones o laundry bag o book, deck of cards, quiet games o stuffed animal o white t-shirt to tie-dye or decorate (Please note that some sessions may not offer this activity.) o sunglasses o rain boots Camp Evelyn Summer 2012 9

Plus, a small flashlight to carry into the caves.<br /> <br /> Horseback Riding: A pair of good fitting jeans to be worn while riding and pair of sturdy shoes or boots with a slight heal to wear while riding.<br /> <br /> The following items are not allowed at camp: Cell phones, flip flops, laptops, handheld games, DVD players, candy/gum/snacks, hair dryers/flat irons, expensive clothes/shoes or other valuable personal items, alcohol, tobacco products, illegal substances or weapons of any kind.These items will be confiscated and held at the camp office until check-out and may result in sending the camper home.<br /> <br /> Lost and Found: The camp experience is an opportunity for a girl to learn responsibility for her own personal articles. Please discuss with your daughter the importance of caring for and keeping track of her gear. Girl Scouts of manitou Council is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal items. Please mark everything with your daughter's full name and check her luggage before leaving camp to ensure she is not leaving anything behind. All unclaimed items will be donated to a charitable organization or disposed of after August 24.
