Troop and Family Camp Sessions are for girls of all ages. Silly Olympics Troop Camp $80 per girl, $40 per troop advisor and chaperone*** July 13-15 or August 3-5 This summer’s theme is “Silly Olympics” to help celebrate the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Campers this weekend will create team names, flags, cheers and mascots to prepare for the Camp Evelyn Silly Olympic Games. The summer games may include synchronized swimming, floor routines, tug-of-war, greasy watermelon contest, dizzy bat relay race and so much more! Most activities will be camp-wide, and girls of all ages will participate in them together. Troop advisors register the whole troop and provide transportation to camp for the troop. Multiple troops will be sharing the camp facilities and participate in activities together. All sleeping arrangements and meals are provided. All camp activities are planned for you, however troop advisors are responsible for the supervision of girls at all times. Outdoor Adventure training is not required for this troop camp session. Check-In Friday at 7:00 p.m., Check-Out Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Troop Camp with a Twist August 3-5 $80 per girl, $40 per troop advisor and chaperone*** This session is specifically for troops with little or no camping expereince. Throughout the course of activities, the troop advisors will complete the “Outdoor Adventures” training that is required before bringing Girl Scouts camping in tents or cooking meals over a campfire. Girls and advisors will learn first-hand fire building and safety, outdoor cooking and dishwashing, outdoor health and safety issues, and a lot of fun camp activities. All troops in this session will sleep in platform tents to help fulfill the overall camping experience. All meals and activities are provided. Troop advisors will work along with camp counselors to provide supervision of the girls. Check-in Friday at 7:00 p.m., Check-Out Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Troop Camp adult-to-girl ratios are two non-related adults to every: 6 Daisies -plus one adult for every additional 4 12 Brownies -plus one adult for every additional 6 16 Juniors -plus one adult for every additional 8 20 Cadettes -plus one adult for every additional 10 24 Seniors or Ambassadors -plus one adult for every additional 12 ***All chaperones beyond the recommended group camping ratios must pay the $80 per person session fee.
